Failed athlete, academic, sometime drag queen and writer. Mitch has called the Border home on and off for 17 years and is a regular contributor to the local creative community.
In his professional career, Mitch has worked with almost 200 Indigenous Business Leaders as the former Program Director of MURRA Indigenous Business Masterclass at The Melbourne Business School. He is stepping out of the professional arena to focus on his PhD which explores the nexus between Identity and Social Mobility. Mitch has previously written for The Guardian and IndigenousX and he is currently working on a historical fiction that is inspired by his grandmother's life at Brungle Mission in Southern New South Wales. Keen to support and build the next generation of local First Nations Writers, Mitch has worked on a number of creative developments with The HotHouse Theatre & is one of the co-curators of Sovereign-Tea at WAM. In his spare time Mitch likes to spend time with his partner on and by the river with their dog Arthur and his new found love of horse-riding.
