Jane Clifton is the genuine show business all-rounder. Actress, singer, writer and English teacher. She has performed in Carlton's La Mama, the Pram Factory, the Flying Trapeze, T.F.Much Ballroom and the Last Laugh Theatre Restaurant and sung in bands with names like Stiletto, Scumbag, Toads and Lipp and the Double Dekker Brothers.
She has appeared on TV shows such as Prisoner/Cell-Block H, Division 4, Homicide, Ryan, Bluey and Holiday Island and appeared on stage in Mum’s The Word and Menopause – The Musical.
She has had top 10 music singles, published crime novels, poetry and a memoir and had her artwork on display at Marios’ Café in Fitzroy.
Victim of the October 2022 Maribyrnong flood, Jane is currently slowly reconstructing her home but also: singing once a week at Claypots Evening Star, Sth Melbourne; finishing writing her Memoir of a Very Civil Celebrant (while continuing to conduct weddings and funerals) and painting a lot.
