With three Walkley Awards and three United Nations Association of Australia (UNAA) Media Peace Awards to his name, journalist and former foreign correspondent, Ben Doherty, brings a unique perspective to bear on his debut novel, Nagaland.
Set in the far north-east of India and traversing new ground between biography and mythology, Doherty discusses the true story that inspired this extraordinarily powerful and evocative work.
As part of his talk, Ben also reflects on journalism in the 21st century, Australian foreign policy, refugee-asylum seeker issues and more. Ben is happy to answer any questions on these topics as well as questions related to the book.
