Research shows that writing about your experiences, whether happy or challenging, can be incredibly therapeutic and improve your mental and physical health. Beechworth-based author and freelancer, Megan Blandford, shows how to tap your story’s therapeutic powers through a series of writing exercises designed to open the heart and mind.
The workshop will include in-class writing exercises, take-home exercises and notes, and discussion of the role of emotions and how to harness them to write well, how to develop goals and intentions, working with the inner critic and more. Exercises will be short and gentle (not intense), but will offer a framework for approaching more challenging material in your writing beyond the workshop context.
