The Schools Program forms a significant component of Write Around the Murray. It is offered free of charge to all schools within 150km of Albury and provides opportunities for more than 1,600 students to be inspired by and learn from some of Australia's best authors and illustrators. Each year busloads of students travel from as far as Mt Beauty, Myrtleford, Billabong, Corowa and Wagga Wagga.
