Debra Dank’s award-winning memoir is a powerful tribute to her beloved Gudanji Country and its people. It reaches deep into the living body of Country and ancestors and extends out into the lives of her grandchildren. She talks to Michelle Evans about what it means to come with this place, so-called Australia.

Kicking off at 6pm sharp, this event begins with a special performance by Racheal Oak Butler.

My Calling by Racheal Oak Butler

When nothing is black and white, but actually a whole lot of grey and the world is turned upside down from one sentence. A family secret is revealed, changing everything.

Racheal’s 14-minute monologue, My Calling, was first presented to a live audience as part of Queer Stories 2018. Racheal now shares it with a home audience at Write Around the Murray.

Come early and settle in. This is a double-feature event not to be missed.
