Sher Rill Ng, Jordan Gould and Richard Pritchard talk to YA author Karen Ginnane about illustration, collaboration and the superpowers they draw, and draw upon, in creating powerful storylines and characters that speak to children (and adults) about strength and possibility.

Jordan and Richard are the storytelling duo behind the Wylah The Koorie Warrior series. Their collaboration draws on their Indigenous heritage, in particular Jordan’s Peek Whurrong culture, and Richard’s experience as an illustrator and visual effects artist working on blockbuster films.

She Rill has created the cover art and illustrations for many authors books. As an author-illustrator, her first book was Our Little Inventor, recently adapted into a children’s opera. Her most recent book, which she illustrated, is Be Careful, Xiao Xin! by Alice Pung.

+ APP: This event may be booked as part of our Author Panels Package. Attend all ten Friday, Saturday and Sunday panels for $55 full/$30 concession
