Debut author Debra Dank and established writer Kathryn Heyman published their respective memoirs, We Come with This Place and Fury, to great acclaim.
Each have been praised for their powerful storytelling skills. Each reflect deep understandings about narrative. In Debra’s case, through both her cultural heritage and completing a PhD in Narrative Theory and Semiotics, and in Kathryn’s case, through honing the storyteller’s craft over decades as both a writer and mentor.
They speak with author Gina Perry about their personal stories and how they approached writing them.
