River of Stories is a writing competition for Primary and Secondary school students who reside in the AlburyWodonga region. It has been brought to the region by the Albury Hume Rotary Club since 2003.

Students in Years 3 to 12 are invited to submit a Short Story or a Poem relating to the theme of ‘Change’. Great prizes for the winning writers in each of the ten categories include the winner in each category receiving a $200 donation to their school library!

Winners will be announced at the River of Stories Student Awards at 12pm on Saturday 12 September via a Zoom ceremony. More details coming soon, stay tuned!

AlburyCity Short Story Award 2020

The annual AlburyCity Short Story Award is open to entrants throughout Australia. Stories can be up to 3000 words. Our judge this year is Lucy Treloar, author of critically acclaimed novels Wolfe Island and Salt Creek.
