Margaret Hickey

Margaret Hickey is a playwright and award-winning author from North East Victoria. Her plays have been performed in regional Victoria, Brisbane, Melbourne and New York. Margaret holds a PhD in Creative Writing and she works locally as an English teacher and a University lecturer. Margaret is a regular on the judging panel for the Furphy Literary Award and published her own collection of short stories, Rural Dreams, in 2020. She is the author of crime novels, Cutters End, Stone Town, and most recently Broken Bay, published by Penguin Random House.
