Ian’s latest YA novel released in September 2020 is the historical fiction, Of Boys and Boats. His picture story books include Quincy, The Postman’s Race, Gumboots, Buck’s Big Adventure, Delilah’s Dreamand Edge of the World. Quincy and The Postman’s Race were awarded ‘Notable Australian Book’ awards by the Children’s Book Council of Australia.
Other books include Periwinkle’s Ride, Bumped and Thumped, Monkey Buys Trouble, Tom’s Tryouts and Grasslands; the Hopscotch series Hopscotch Medusa Stone and Hopscotch Golden Scarab and hi and his YA novel The Towers of Zordran.
Ian is currently working on an historical novel set in Beechworth in 1857 during the gold rush, and a contemporary literary novel set in a small rural town in 2013 where bushfires are raging in the nearby mountains. His short stories are published in a number of anthologies and he is also a regular writer/photographer for Great Walks magazine. Ian lives in the tiny township of Tallangatta in north-east Victoria.
