James Dunk

James Dunk is a historian of science and medicine at the University of Sydney. His book, Bedlam at Botany Bay, is a political history of madness in the penal colony of New South Wales, shortlisted for the Ernest Scott Prize and the Kay Daniels Award. His current research on new health formations and psychological frameworks addressing ecological crises has been published in The New England Journal of Medicine and the landmark textbook Planetary Health: Protecting Nature to Protect Ourselves (Island Press, 2020).
