We’re looking forward to welcoming audiences back to Albury Wodonga and are gearing up for a jam-packed Write Around the Murray festival in 2021.
A celebration of reading, writing, illustration and storytelling, where local, regional and national readers, writers, artists and storytellers come together to share stories, knowledge and skills.
This year we celebrate the act of love that is writing and storytelling through our festival theme ‘The Things We Love'. To explore together with humour and heart, to listen with respect and curiosity, as we reflect on the shape and meaning of our lives and loves through the lens of great storytelling.
For five days across Wednesday 15 – Sunday 19 September, the festival promises to bring a few surprises like nothing before. We're covering all our bases with a mix of both live and online events. Wherever you are and whatever the state of play, we look forward to you joining us.
We’re thrilled to be gathering some of Australia’s greatest storytellers for Write Around the Murray 2021 to share their words and music, their stories and reflections. Authors include Emily Maguire, Sofie Laguna, Leigh Hobbs, Anita Heiss, Jock Serong, Rick Morton, Delia Falconer, Judy Horacek, Pip Williams, Campbell Mattinson, Ursula Dubosarsky and many more.
The festival program will be available from Thursday 12 August, stay tuned for details.
